Balance your Vata Dosha

According to Ayurveda balancing your vata dosha during pregnancy is important.  Only fresh foods cooked in healthy oils should be consumed. 

Eating for two

One has a lot of cravings during pregnancy and it is important to entertain those cravings but it's also important to keep in mind to consume healthy food. Also remember to maintain your diet for two people. 

Abhyanga

Beginning the day with full body massage can be helpful. Many ayurvedic or natural oils can be used for messaging the joints and abdomen area .  

Follow Sattvic

Ayurveda says that you should follow the sattvic lifestyle that is not to harbor any negative emotions or thoughts like sorrow, anger, grief, doubt and fear as this would affect the growing baby. Surround yourself with positive energy. 


Practice Grabha Sanskar

Ayurveda believes a child's mental and behavioral development starts as the mother conceives. The child’s personality begins to take shape in the womb, and this is influenced by the mother's state of mind during pregnancy
