"Yoga slowly became a lifestyle rather than a way to achieve a healthy and fit body." - Mudita
Revalsar Sunday Stories - Edition#28 with@muditathesmile“My job required a lot of my time and focus leaving me drained and with very little time to work on myself. Even as a kid some form of physical activity has always been a part of my daily schedule. But as my workload grew, asking me to put in more hours, along with raising my daughter, did not leave me with any time to focus on my fitness and health.I began practicing yoga just before lockdown hit the world, as I knew something was missing from my life.Yoga slowly became a lifestyle rather than a way to achieve a healthy and fit body. Yoga helped me calm my mind and find stability even amidst chaotic situations. It taught me to focus on the right things and take my time before reacting and making decisions. I was introduced to the true capabilities of my body, finding my inner and outer strengths. A new sense of confidence always surrounds me now. I know myself better than ever. Yoga has taught me how life is, it's not about how you look but how you feel.Practising asanas did not only help me bring balance to my body but also my life, gave me the courage to make the decision to switch my jobs to focus on what actually mattered to me, my daughter and a healthy lifestyle. In just 2 years of my devotion to yoga it has given me so much in return. In this journey of mine I soon realized I was not alone, yoga helped me to connect with many more people who live with a similar mind-set and are willing to spread the knowledge, art, and energy so that we all grow together. Even though we’re all on different stages of expertise in yoga and life, at the end of the day, all that matters is our growth and our determination to be better than yesterday.I am now a higher secondary Science teacher with British curriculum schools, I get to shape young minds.Yoga helped me to make this change in my life. For anyone thinking of stepping into the world of yoga, I’d simply suggest doing so with optimism and an open mind. Yoga isn’t just about doing the asanas perfectly, it's a lifestyle, it’s a change in mindset"
